WORD FOR LYING ABOUT A DREAM photo

If you have a dream about a magical floating ship with many rooms
but also, in the dream, a distant acquaintance fakes his own death and tells only you
that he’s really alive, you might want to talk about the floating ship

while leaving out the part about the acquaintance, since it suggests
you feel a more powerful intimacy for this acquaintance
than is socially acceptable. But you might want to talk about the faking of the death, too,
(because you find it interesting and want it analyzed
without the burden of being analyzed yourself)

and so you might replace the distant acquaintance with a close friend,
and say, “hey, I had this dream about you.”

Leakiness is the word for wanting to say something true
so badly you’ll say something untrue.
